50 Mason
50 Mason is located at . . . well, 50 Mason street in San Francisco’s Tenderloin district near Eddy at Market. A fine new club for com
edy in the City. If anyone knows anything about the Tenderloin they will honestly say there is much to cry about there, but even more to laugh at.
The atmosphere at 50 Mason is theater like and intimate. Eric Peterson hosts Friday night shows. Shows range from 7 to 10 dollars and there is a beer and wine bar, with a no drink minimum. It is good however, to buy something to guzzle while you giggle at the entertainment from the comedians who are mostly from the Bay Area.
Admission --- 7 to 10 bucks Now where is this place? Map

There are comics who come to air their dirty laundry at the Brainwash Cafe and Laundromat located South of Market on Thursday nights at 8 pm. This open mic is also hosted by Tony Sparks and is a lot of fun. Dirty underwear, smelly socks, and ring around the collar have never been so fun. Their are coin-op washers and dryers on the side and vending machines offering small boxes of detergent for those very dirty jokes.
The coffees doesn't clean your clothes, but it might give you more energy to laugh. Don't forget that Brainwash offers a variety of good eats including pastas, burgers and vegetarian dishes. Feel free to eat, wash, and laugh here on Thrusday nights.

Club Deluxe, San Francisco, CA
1511 Haight Street
need a map?
Nothing like comedy on the Haight. Don’t get duped into thinking the audience is your typical liberal crowd either. Freedom is the spirit of the Haight, and generally audiences here feel free enough to not let any comic get away with bad material. The scene here is very fun and communicative. The crowd appears to be a twenty to thirty something group, but as Haight Street in San Francisco goes, there is no emphasis on age as many of the performers are over thirty.
The show is on Monday nights only and begin at 9:45. This is a full bar, so you shouldn’t be thirsty. If you’re hungry, then go for one of Club Deluxe’s famous bloody marys. You get all the veggies right there! Just kidding. As anyone will say, there are a myriad of restaurants on Haight street, but some close at 10:00 PM, so if you're hungry, make sure you get some grub before the show unless you are willing to survive on one of those bloody marys.

Every Tuesday night at 8:00 pm Tony Sparks hosts this open mic comedy workshop. Artists and comics are welcome to exhibit their work at the Luggage Store which is supported by the Cultural Arts Center in San Francisco. The Luggage Store is an alcohol free, gallery and not a cafe, however, feel free to bring dog biscuits, catnip, birdseed, or any snack of your choosing to nibble on during the show. Please wear a bib if you have no table manners; the Luggage Store is an artist's gallery and not a restaurant.
